Nicholas is a professional engineer turned fee-for-service financial planner and is the principal of VAVE Financial Planning.

He takes an analytical approach to helping young professionals and families organize and optimize their financial lives. Aside from creating full financial plans, he also has a subscription style Money Coaching business, providing objective and holistic advice through email, phone, or video chat.

In addition to being a Professional Engineer of Ontario, Nicholas has an MBA from the Ivey School of Business. He is a Certified Financial Planner® and holds the TEP (Trust and Estate Practitioner) designation.

Originally from Vancouver, he now lives in Markham, Ontario with his wife and three young children. Much of his evenings are spent managing or coaching their soccer teams!

Nicholas volunteers with the CRA Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP) helping low income families prepare tax returns. He is currently a board member at Unionville-Milliken Soccer Club and previously served on the board of directors at Toronto Christian Community Church for 6 years.
